My Journey from Passion to Purpose
The Birth of EL Empire
One evening on a lively college campus, students crowded in a library, the air was heavy with the scent of ambition yet, beneath the surface of academic drive, I sensed a quiet struggle among many students. I wondered how I could make a difference having faced similar challenges and knowing how overwhelming it could be. Shortly after that, the pandemic hit and left many struggling and I had been one of them. It was during this period that my book, Elevate Your Essay Writing Skills, was published. I then realized–what better way to give back than to equip these students through workshops based on my book. And that is how EL Empire came into existence.
The Catalyst
My journey into entrepreneurship was not a calculated move; it was a path that found me. I had always been passionate about community development and had volunteered in various capacities. But the real turning point came when I was mentored by three incredible women. They took the time to guide me, invited me to shadow them, and never gave up on me. I thought, “If they could gift me this leverage, why could I not do the same for others?”
The Climax
While working for an engineering company, I organized a conference for 250 students. The feedback was overwhelming. Graduates told me how I had changed their career paths and even helped their mental health. It was a moment of reckoning. Do I keep climbing the corporate ladder, leaving behind those crying out for help? Or do I share my gift with the world, despite the uncertainties it might bring? The answer was clear. I chose both, and EL Empire was born.
